iOS ipsw-Files
Ich weiß selbst, dass es 8 Millionen Seiten gibt, die Firmware von iOS-Geräten verlinken, nachdem ich aber immer wieder die Suchmaschinen bemühen muss, wenn ich eine bestimmte Firmware für das iPhone brauche, stelle ich – in erster Linie für mich, aber auch für alle anderen, die gerade die Suchmaschine bemüht haben – hier eine Auflistung ins Netz, soweit ich Links auf die *.ipsw-Files gefunden habe. Der Download führt direkt zu Apple, die Dateien sollten also qualitätsgesichert sein.
Mit Hilfe der originalen Firmware kann das iPhone, der iPod Touch oder das iPad (Apple TV muss ich mal noch suchen) über iTunes zurückgesetzt werden. Dazu die IPSW-Datei herunterladen, das Gerät in den Wiederherstellungsmodus bringen, iTunes aufrufen und mit gedrückter Shift- (Windows) bzw. ALT-Taste (Mac OS X) auf „wiederherstellen“ klicken. Es öffnet sich ein Dialog, in dem die soeben heruntergeladene Datei ausgewählt werden kann.
Die Dateien werden auch teilweise für einen Jailbreak benötigt, worauf ich hier aber nicht näher eingehen möchte, solange das „legal“ oder „illegal“ nicht sauber geklärt ist – erst, wenn ich irgendwann sicher weiß, dass es definitiv illegal ist, gehe ich näher darauf ein ;-).
