Sony Playstation 3 mit Y2K10-Bug
Um auf den PS3-Zug aufzuspringen: Seit heute Nacht verbinden sich Sony’s ältere PS3-Systeme nicht mehr online mit dem PSN (Playstation Network). Erste Nachricht heute Nacht von Sony:
We’re aware that many of you are having problems connecting to PSN, and yes, we’re looking into it. Stay tuned for updates.
Akuell kann man über Twitter lesen, dass die PS3 Slim sich sauber verbinden kann:
PSN status update (part 2): Readers/followers are confirming that “slim” units (120/250 GB models) are connecting normally.
Fast ein bisschen unfair, dass ich die Slim mein Eigen nenne und überhaupt keine Lust hab, sie anzuschalten… :)
Der Fehler soll anscheinend daher kommen, dass das System das Datum auf den 29.02. UND 01.03. stellen wollte. Ich seh’ das nirgends von Sony bestätigt, Foren sprudeln aber über von Gerüchten, die Fehlermeldung (bzw. wohl eher Fehlercode) lautet „8001050F“. Weitere Infos gibt’s im offiziellen Blog.

We are aware that the internal clock functionality in the PS3 units other than the slim model, recognized the year 2010 as a leap year. Having the internal clock date change from February 29 to March 1 (both GMT), we have verified that the symptoms are now resolved and that users are able to use their PS3 normally.
